In a surprise victory, the 48th Rolex 24 At Daytona has been bagged by the Action Express Team. On Sunday, the race saw weather conditions swing restlessly, resulting in some major lead changes in the results. The Action Express driver Joao Barbosa made the team victorious by leading over Scott Pruett by 52.303 seconds, making way to win the title of season opener of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16., leaving Scott Pruett for runner-up position.
Scott Pruett, a three-time Rolex 24 winner teamed up with Max Papis, Memo Rojas and Justin Wilson in Felix Sabates’ No. 01 TELMEX/Target BMW Riley.
