The magic that the Rolex Grand-Am Series together with its open wheel cousin IndyCar created at Homestead last year will not be replicated this year. The officials of the Grand-Am series have decided not to share the spotlight and the screen space with the IndyCar. The step has come as a result of the last year’s official viewership figures of the series. According to the data, the viewership of the main races of the grand event was a lot more than what was received by the IndyCar events telecasted by the cable live from the Homestead-Miami speedway.
However, the live audience reactions that the IndyCar registered last year during the top end races of the Grand-Am for the Grand Prix of Miami, told a different story.
